Organic Sparkle

  (Agate, sapphire, tourmaline, crystal, smoky quartz, gold-filled chain)

As some of you may know, I have been recently working with a local high end jewelry designer. Using only the finest materials, POUR TOI Designs is a unique and fresh line that features wonderful pieces with breathtaking textures ( I heart texture more than anything!)

As a graduation and temporary parting gift, the lovely Marianne Homsy created this breathtaking piece for me. I am obsessed with the organic feel that this necklace radiates as well as the delicate beads.  Thank you again!

P.S photo quality apologies I couldn't wait to get my other camera to photograph and post this piece.

pink pants

{shoes: Carlos, pants: Zara, top: Express, Bracelets: Forever21 and David Yurman, earrings: Forever21}

Ever since I saw the lace up biker skinny jeans from ASOS I have been wanting a pair. Self admitted, I am one of those people who are impatient. with this is mind I decided instead of waiting for them to come in the mail, I would go to the mall and look for a similar pair.  Without even the slightest challenge I found myself trying on these pink jeans at Zara. Have you ever just slipped on a garment and just known that it was coming home with you? well this is the revelation I had come to once these jeans were on. Next thing I knew I was at home prancing around my apartment in them--needless to say I'm in love with them.

Leopard Shorts

{shoes: Urban Outfitters, shorts: MISRED, shirt: Forever21, necklace: vintage, earrings: BEBE, bracelet: David Yurman}

Extremely excited to have been able to shoot in these outstanding shorts that Marybeth from Jade and Willow created. Purchased at MISRED, these were at one time pants that Marybeth so perfectly made into shorts. These are my first pair of shorts that are high waisted which in a way makes them some getting used to, but non the less they rock and I can't wait for a fun summer in them! Thanks again Marybeth!

Sunrise sunset on repeat

The days have been running together. Without notice I've been on-the-go from sunrise to sunset and beyond. Its been hard to keep eating healthy, but I'm trying. Since I spend most of my days under florescent lights and behind a computer screen, having outdoor adventures are happening less and less. But when I saw this bumble bee let alone was able to get close enough to snap a picture without getting stung, let it be known I was so happy.  Been trying to sport this zebra Prada clutch more often. I absolutely love challenging myself with trying to shove a larger amount in into a small clutch.  Living in Florida has its perks, like hanging out on the dock and seeing Manatees play around in the canals.  recently been trying to photograph unusual and interesting greenery. These shorts from Topshop have been a challenge styling wise, but with this A&F beater I have accomplished a casual look.. now on to a more night time look. While hard work is important, it is also good to try to relax even if it is only for a few hours for one night.
Also, excitingly enough Hersh and I have become experts at catching frogs outside of his house.  Do you ever remember walking around barefoot in the summertime and washing off your feet in the shower when you got home? For some reason I just love this ritual and when Forrest and I decided to adventure down to the vending machines barefoot (mainly due to laziness), we got to do this.  Although the next few weeks are my last of college my friends and family have been making it the best.

Leopard & Lace

{Shoes: Christian Louboutin, leggings: Forever21, dress: Urban Outfitters, necklace: vintage, bracelet, David Yurman}

For a while now I've been wanting to experiment with laced leggings, so naturally when I found these at Forever 21 I was ecstatic. I'm super excited to experiment more with them. I think that these types of leggings can bring an outfit from ordinary to exceptional.

Today in my ethics class we are discussing when image alteration goes too far.. I thought of this Miu Miu example right away. HERE.  Do you think they went too far?

Love the crochet with the feathers & the chunky rings.

After Dark

Here are some shots of my favorite outfits from the After Dark fashion show on the 600 block in Saint Pete. Since this was the first time that there was a fashion show on the 600 block there was a curious and eager audience awaiting the show. They were not displeased. There was such an amazing energy from the crowd which only pumped up the models confidence to a whole other level.

simply adored this look in particular by Ramblin' Rose. Oversized feather earrings, effortlessly tangled necklaces, and a cowboy inspired as my Aunt Lizz would say "yippie ya yo" vest over a simple one piece.  This look kind of gave me a cowboys and indians playful feel.

The MISRED section of the show was absolutely fabulous. The outfits shown above are each unique pieces chosen from the stores endless wonderment of garments. Never thought stripes and a floral pattern could look so chic. The geisha inspired red dress is so retro and perfect for sophisticated drinks on the beach.  The finale of the show which was wrapped up by MISRED's handmade feather headdress. INCREDIBLE.

Before fashion show event at MISRED

{Guest Bloggers at MISRED}

{New blogger buddies}

{MISRED on the 600 block}

{Laura Clarke from Artfully Artista}

{ Jade and Willow's own Marybeth Wiliams}

 With my heart rapidly racing and thinking Saint Pete was unreachable (...traffic up and down I-275) I finally made it to my first blogger event. This past saturday (Hosted by Belle de Couture's Jennifer Rand and vintage shop MISRED) was by far a great way to get together with local bloggers and make new friends :)

Before the fashion show began, bloggers and fashionistas alike got together at MISRED on the 600 block in Saint Petersburg to discuss fashion, taste delicate cupcakes (The Yummy Kind), sip on margarita punch (FOREVER the Hostess) and shop some awesome vintage clothes(MISRED).  After much deliberation I decided to purchase this black knit top with a parrot on it. I don't know why I felt so attached to this top at first glance or why I needed to wear it INSTANTLY, but when I tried it on I knew I was bringing it home with me.  This new knit top, along with another purchase, customized personally by Marybeth Williams from Jade and Willow, are both awesome additions to my closet and I can't wait to shoot in them.

CHECK BACK FOR FASHION SHOW PICS!

P.S. Couldn't keep my hands off of the Black Bean and Feta Dip, kudos Natalie (FOREVER the Hostess)

Sleepless

(forever 21 beater and shirt, Blue Cult jeans, Urban Outfitters shoes, and Louis Vuitton tote)

These photos are from a few days ago, been so busy with school its ridiculous! Almost one month till graduation, and I know I'm going to have to work for it (which will make it that much sweeter). Since spring is finally here, Tampa Bay has been hit with a few storms which make me want to wear sweat pants and loose scoop tops like this one here from Nasty Gal.

M.I.A.

Beautiful trees lining Delray Beach, Steve Aoki dominating Ultra, ordering surprisingly oversized drinks blindly, Corn dogs,  mural in Miami Beach, surfboards galore, Tangled bicycles, waiting for milkshakes on Ocean, Hello Kitty that Forrest got me in NYC photographed at the Miami Kidrobot store,  FANTASTIC new obsession from Kidrobot.....Miami rocked.
