The Annual

{State College, PA November 21-November 30}

I'll miss the foliage, my giant walk-in closet full of surprises, and a select few who made this trip the best I've had here in a while.

A very cold Thanksgiving

{leather jacket made in florence, H&M skirt, Gap shirt, Earrings handmade in Italy, Zara boots, Prada shades}

This is the first time in 5 years that I've celebrating thanksgiving in my hometown, State College. Since I only come here once a year (usually xmas) I was excited to have a change of pace and experience fall for what it really is compared to the "fall" in Tampa. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Shoe Addiction

When friends start recognizing you out in public by what shoes your wearing, you know you have a slight problem. Apparently this addiction has been going on for a while now because while rummaging through my room at my parents house I found this incredibly intriguing and educational book solely (no pun intended) focused on crazy types of shoes. Highlighted below are a few pairs that I find uncommonly perfect and would love to add to my wardrobe.

{David Evins was way before his time with these beaut's from 1934}

{5-inch Cromwell's that will constantly keep you on your toes circa 1890}

{Hand carved heal from a rod of Lucite, now thats sensational!}

{One of the most recognizable fashion trends from the 1970's
are extreme platforms, and nothing is more extreme then these}

{Kork-Ease from the early 1970's are back in style this fall,
these extreme platforms are sure to raise anyones mood.}

{These Lars Hagen's from '91 are phenomenally perfect in their own distorted way,
plus its tactilely tempting}

{A shoe that represents mobility, speed and grace? Count me in.
These Burmese sequined slippers once adorned the feet of royalty in the late 1800's.}

{With a Jeffery Campbell silhouette and the combo of chocolate brown
with a splash of purple, yellow and orange brings these shoes to my melting status}

{These 1990 Rodger Vivier's keep it simple
 with their wooden sole that has a sort of italic feel}

{Andre Perugia kept ladies on their toes with this curvaceous design from 1937.
These Jan Jansen's are also pretty intereging to me only because of their Jafar likeness (yes I'm referencing Aladdin)}

Golden Hour

{Urban Outfitter boots, Armani Exchange leggings and tank, Express sweater and Topshop vest}

Sweaters have always been a small problem for me. I've never been able to find one that I literally don't want to take off... until now. This black loose-knit Express sweater is perfect for fall in Florida because it gives the coverage I desire without the stuffiness of a traditional sweater. The loose knit allows for breathability and the tight forearms are unfathomably enticing.  I've been after this "glowing" shot for a while now due to my infatuation with the sun and the moon.  And thanks to my boyf, it became a reality (the moon is my next obstacle).

Benched

{ Jeffery Campbell shoes,  Jessica Simpson tights, American Eagle shorts,  Armani Exchange tank, Express shirt,  David Yurman necklace and bracelet, Express bracelet and vintage pendant}

The past month has been nothing short of excitement, nervousness, new feelings, realizations and happiness so naturally I'm going to celebrate sitting on a decrepit looking bench. The different textures are what I really enjoy about this outfit. Light wispy fabrics mixed with odd-flowery tights and a touch of rough wool. Fantastic.
