necklace - ring

For about a year now I've been following a Swedish blog by Victoria Tornegren. Since there's a language barrier,  I mainly gaze at the photography for inspiration. Using a simple necklace chain to make a ring is only one of her brilliant posts. Since I loved the idea so much I tried to do it myself and I must say I am pleased. Hello new ring.

So since fall in Tampa is a little bit warmer then the rest of the country, I decided to get a pair of boots that would fit accordingly. These Jeffery Campbell Clift's are the perfect solution mainly due to the fallish vibe they give off (dark & made of leather).  Not only are they chic but they are by far my most comfortable shoes plus they provide me with the height I yearn for.

Black+White

Photograhy by Michelle Kulch
{shoes: Jeffery Campbell & Jessica Simpson, leopard shorts: vintage, vest: Topshop, leopard pants: Forever21, white dress: Forever 21,  accesories: garbage bag, tin foil and toilet paper}

Here are some shots from the collabortive shoot I did over the summer with the oh-so-talented Michelle Kulch. I just love the way b&w cameras give photographs such texture.  We played around with some household items and incorporated them into some of my favorite outfits to give them a unique and unexpected twist. Needless to say we had a lot of fun turning a school project into a wonderful bonding experience.  Thanks again Michelle!

Unique Details

Here are some detail shots I found from the Topshop Unique spring 2012 show in London.  Captivated by the delicate knits, nail art and Pegasus-like footwear.

sparking

//lace-ups from Urban Outfitters, Topshop shorts, Forever 21 top, Prada sunglasses and Charles Winston jewelry//

Took these while walking around after getting some pizza downtown from Sam and Eddie's (or is it Eddie and Sam's?) Im so excited for fall, but it doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon since at 12 today it was 85 degrees.  Due to the warm weather (and my need for a new pair of boots) I was thinking these would be perfect for the dysfunctional fall weather Tampa has. Tomorrow will be spent packing and getting prepared for what should be an incredible football filled weekend in Tally.

swann

// shoes: Jeffery Campbell Litas, shorts: Mossimo, shirt: Liberty Love, bracelet: David Yurman, ring, necklace and earrings: Charles Winston//

I've had this shirt for a while now which is probably why I'm okay with the hole in it. I bought this mainly for the soft fabric but partly for the awkward sleeves which adds a unique twist. While reorganizing my life today I found new closet space that could/needs to be utilized for my ever growing collection of stuff (i.e. magazines) excitinggg.  Tally this weekend--GO NOLES!

fall campaigns

Here are five of my favorite fall campaigns:

  1. Balenciaga (minimal yet spunky)
  2. Marc Jacobs (in love with Helen Bonham Carter)
  3. David Webb (incredibly unique jewelry)
  4. Balman (badass onesie)
  5. Burberry Prosum (perfect forest green trenches)

advisory

//sunglasses: Prada, skirt: H&M, shirt: Armani Exchange, bra: Cosabella, necklace: Italian silver, ring: Lucky Brand,  bracelet: David Yurman//

Weather advisories are my new favorite thing. Although it may be dangerous, the waves at the gulf beaches have been pretty intense, which makes for an adventurous time.  Snapped these before taking a risky plunge and then on the way home when we were inspired by the smashing of water on rocks.  Those who know me best can agree that recently I've been obsessing over loose-fitting basic razor backs. I found this charcoal one at Armani Exchange, and have been wearing it more than I anticipated.  I guess what I enjoy most about it is it's dark enough that it can be paired with black and when it is its not too matchy and planned out.
